Meet The Team

Tara McCoy
Executive Director

As Executive Director of Our Home New Albany, I’m honored to lead a community rooted in family, love and compassion, and a shared commitment to exceptional care. My journey in senior living began over 20 years ago at the front desk of an assisted living community, and from that moment on, I knew I had found my calling. Since then, I’ve devoted my career to serving and supporting this incredible population.

I’m proud to lead a team that feels like family—one that consistently goes above and beyond to create joy, comfort, and a true sense of belonging for every resident who calls Our Home their home.

Outside of work, I cherish time with my husband, Matt, and our two daughters, Kameron and Lucy. I’ve also discovered a love for cross training, which keeps me energized and balanced. It’s a true blessing to be part of something so special here at Our Home New Albany, where I’ve had the privilege of serving for almost 3 years.

McKenzie Alexander, LPN
Director of Nursing, Our Home New Albany

With over a decade of experience in senior living, McKenzie Alexander brings deep expertise and heartfelt dedication to her role as Director of Nursing. Her passion lies in dementia care and guiding families through one of life’s most meaningful transitions. For McKenzie, nursing is about more than clinical responsibilities—it’s about being a compassionate presence, a steady support, and a source of comfort and connection.

She is committed to helping residents rediscover joy and purpose in their daily lives and finds fulfillment in creating an environment where dignity and care go hand in hand.

Edna Wambua, RN, BSN
Assistant Director of Nursing, Our Home New Albany

Edna Wambua has been an integral part of our team for more than two years, bringing five years of nursing experience and a deep passion for patient-centered care. A graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University, Edna is dedicated to teamwork and upholding the highest standards of nursing practice. Her compassionate leadership and genuine care for both residents and staff leave a lasting impact every day.

Outside of work, Edna cherishes time with her husband and three children, and she actively volunteers in church activities. Her love for family, commitment to service, and compassion for others shine through in everything she does, making Our Home New Albany a warmer, more caring place for all.

Rebecca Frank, CDP
Life Enrichment Director

Rebecca Frank has had a lifelong love for seniors, inspired by the close bond she shared with her grandparents growing up. When her grandfather moved into a nursing home, Rebecca spent countless hours there—playing bingo, helping in the dining room, and connecting with other residents. Her grandmother once said, “This is what she is meant to do,” and Rebecca took those words to heart. She changed careers and has never looked back.

Today, Rebecca brings joy, compassion, and purpose to the lives of residents at Our Home New Albany. She is passionate about creating meaningful experiences and ensuring every resident feels supported, valued, and loved.

Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her two amazing daughters, Mia and Liv. Together, they cherish lake days filled with sunshine, family, and the freedom to be wild and free.

Abby Bott
Director of House Affairs

Abby is the Director of House Affairs at Our Home New Albany, where she brings energy, heart, and a deep commitment to creating a welcoming environment for residents. She began her journey at Our Home working the front desk while completing her degree at The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business. Her dedication and passion for senior care quickly led her to grow into her current leadership role.

Abby’s love for senior living began at a young age while helping care for her grandmother, an experience that shaped her belief in the importance of aging with dignity. Today, she works to ensure every resident feels respected, supported, and truly at home.

Outside of work, Abby enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends—and you’ll often find her at a live concert soaking in the music and good vibes.

Sarah Simpson
Culinary Director

My love for serving the elderly began with my first assisted living job five years ago, but my passion for cooking took root more than a decade ago. Through personal life experiences, I developed a deep appreciation for health, wellness, and the incredible power of food. I firmly believe that food is medicine — the right foods can heal the body, while the wrong ones can harm it.

One of my greatest joys is creating healthy, delicious meals from scratch and watching others enjoy them. Hosting family holidays and community nights here
at Our Home fills my heart, as it allows me to share my love of food with the people I care about most.

Tony Cremeans
Maintenance Director

My name is Tony Cremeans, and I’m proud to serve as the Maintenance Director at Our Home New Albany. I began my career in senior living 15 years ago as a maintenance assistant and quickly discovered how much I loved this work— especially the opportunity to support residents with their everyday needs and ensure their environment is safe, comfortable, and welcoming.

I have a big heart for our residents; they truly feel like family to me. Being part of Our Home New Albany has been a wonderful experience, allowing me to connect with residents daily and collaborate with the most dedicated team I’ve ever worked with.

Outside of work, I enjoy fishing, golfing, and spending quality time with my large family and my lovely wife, Danielle. These moments recharge me and remind me of the importance of community—something I’m grateful to experience every day at Our Home.

Catherine Herd
Community Relations Director

My name is Catherine Herd. I’m married and a proud mom to two wonderful children—Matthew (3) and Emma (2)—who you may see running around from time to time.

I joined this community after working in another senior living setting, where I discovered a true passion for helping seniors navigate their next steps with confidence, compassion, and care.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring local events and festivals, and cuddling with our two German Shepherds.

If you know any family members or friends who may be interested in making our community their home, I’d be happy to help. Please feel free to stop me around the building—I love getting to know our residents and their families!
